 Courtney Thorne-Smith (born on November 8, 1967) is an American actor from America. Her most well-known roles include her roles in the movies as Alison Parker on Melrose Place, Georgia Thomas on Ally McBeal, Cheryl Mabel in According to Jim and her recurring role in Two and a Half Men as Lyndsey McElroy.Thorne-Smith was born in San Francisco, California, and grew up in Menlo Park, a suburb south of San Francisco. Her father, Walter Smith, was an expert in market research using computers as was her mother, Lora Thorne, was a therapist. Courtney aged seven years old, separated from her father, Walter Smith. She was a part of both parents for a variety of times. Jennifer is her older sister is an advertising executive. She graduated in 1985 from Tamalpais High School in Mill Valley, California. In high school, she participated in the Ensemble Theater Company in Mill Valley.
