Beverly D'Angelo
D'Angelo was born in Columbus, Ohio, the daughter of Priscilla Ruth (nee Smith), a violinist and Eugene Constantino "Gene" D'Angelo, a bassist and television station manager at WBNS-TV in Columbus. Her father was Italian. Her paternal grandparents Eugenio and Rosina D'Angelo were from Introdacqua in the Abruzzo region Italy. There are three brothers: Jeff, Tim and Tony. Their grandfather's maternal lineage, Howard Dwight Smith, was an architect who created Ohio Stadium, nicknamed "the Horseshoe" at Ohio State University. D'Angelo was a student at Upper Arlington High School in Upper Arlington, Ohio, which is a northwest Columbus suburb. She was awarded the Upper Arlington Alumni Association's Distinguished Alumni Award in 2009 in recognition of her achievements in her professional life. D'Angelo worked as an illustrator at Hanna-Barbera Studios and as a singer before taking an passion for acting. When she was living in Canada, she was an American-born backup singer in rockabilly singer Rompin' Ronnie Hawkins' band The Hawks. After a stint on their own , they formed The Band, a group that is considered to be legendary.
